As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in our small but growing engineering team, ensuring that our infrastructure is rock-solid and our CI/CD pipelines are humming along smoothly. You’ll have your hands in everything from deploying Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, crafting Helm charts through to managing Kubernetes clusters on AWS. Your work will support a microservices architecture built in TypeScript and Python that runs multiple client environments.

Your Opportunity:

  • CI/CD: Own the CI/CD tooling for our engineering teams, using GitHub Actions to ensure seamless deployments and high-quality code delivery.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Leverage Terraform to define, deploy, and manage infrastructure on AWS. You’ll make sure our environments are consistent, scalable, and resilient.

  • Kubernetes & Helm: Design, deploy, and maintain our Kubernetes clusters, utilising Helm for packaging and deployment. You’ll ensure our development and production environments are optimised and secure.

  • Observability: Implement and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to keep our services running smoothly and detect issues before they become problems.

  • End-to-End Ownership: In our small team, you’ll have the flexibility to build and manage solutions that touch every part of our infrastructure, from integrating with Slack to managing our identity provider.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to ensure that our infrastructure supports the development of new features and the maintenance of existing ones.

Why you're made for this:

  • Experience: You’ve been around the block a few times and have solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (especially GitHub Actions), Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS.

  • Problem Solver: You love tackling challenges head-on and finding innovative solutions that work for everyone.

  • Tech Enthusiast: You’re passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation.

  • Team Player: You’re ready to work closely with a small team, wear multiple hats, and contribute wherever you’re needed.

  • Flexible & Independent: You thrive in a startup environment where things move quickly and you have the freedom to make decisions and drive initiatives.

While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people who believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply.
