Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS): we provide voice, data and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish and Benelux business markets.

Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.

Who are we looking for?

What will you be doing day-to-day? 


Key responsibilities:

  • Automation and Orchestration: Streamline the delivery and support processes by leveraging automation and IaC principles.
  • Support and Operation: Ensure the operation of the platform on a 24x7 basis where required, taking ownershipfor building and supporting the solutions, systems, and processes that underpin the Gamma network, services, and products within the functional squad.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating collaboration with other engineering teams and squads to understand requirements and build efficient, available, scalable and secure platforms and solutions.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Ensure the platform and associated applications and underpinning processes are monitored and optimised for efficient operation within the squad. Integration with our alerting systems for the respective platform to facilitate effective incident management.
  • Tool Development: Build tools aligned with the relevant framework and strategy to support the platform.
  • Security and Compliance: Threat modelling and risk assessments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage test automation to minimize system downtime and improve uptime metrics by proactively monitoring and resolving issues.
  • CI/CD: Write and support automated solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and others documented in our frameworks, based on project requirements using Jira.
  • Industry trends: Keep up with emerging technology and understanding of industry best practice.

 





What you’ll need 

  • Comfortable with automation, IaC, and CI/CD principles.
  • Understand Network concepts, Infrastructure, and common protocols.
  • Able to write basic scripts for automation
  • Build dashboards in Grafana and understanding of Prometheus and PromQL.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and experience integrating solutions into CI pipelines
  • Experience with cloud (AWS, GCP) is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Able to self-manage Jira tickets and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Experience in data engineering, Openstack, VMWare, and/or Linux.
  • Adaptable with an attention to detail.
